Why should you choose a manufactured home?

Manufactured homes are prebuilt homes that are constructed on steel frames and then placed on concrete pillars, metal posts, or blocks. This type of home construction is available in single wide, double wide, and triple wide options—ranging from 308 sq. ft. to 1890 sq. ft.—allowing for a wide range of floor plan options. Once a manufactured home has been built, it will be transported to the plot of land it will be placed on where it will be assembled by our experienced team members and where the plumbing, electrical, and gas connections will be set up by certified tradespeople. All of our manufactured homes can also be customized to suit your needs, allowing you to select the décor designs that best align with your style and taste. It is also important to note that all of our manufactured homes are built to the CSA Z240 code and all of our modular homes are built to the CSA A277 code.

Manufactured homes FAQ.

How much does a manufactured home cost in BC?

The overall cost of a manufactured home in BC will vary based on the size and location of the home, the model type, and the décor selections. Our team will work closely with you to help you select a manufactured home that will work well within your budget.

What is the difference between a mobile home and a manufactured home?

While the terms “mobile home” and “manufactured home” are often used interchangeably, in Canada, “mobile homes” refers to modular homes that were built before 1976 and “manufactured homes” refer to modular houses built after 1976. Manufactured homes are, therefore, constructed under a higher set of building standards.

Can you mortgage a manufactured home?

Yes, manufactured homes can be mortgaged through the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s chattel loan insurance program (CLIP). Loans can be secured for eligible manufactured homes that are located on sites that are owned or leased. Through this program, financing is available for up to 95% of the purchase price.
